A study released from the Georgetown University Medical Center this month notes that a class of drugs used to treat Alzheimer’s disease may combat the long term effects of brain injuries. It is further noted in the study that those suffering from a traumatic brain injury have a 400% increased chance of contracting Alzheimer’s disease.
