Brain Injured Boxer Seeks to Fight Again

Edwin Valero, a Venezuelan lightweight/junior welterweight/welterweight fighter with a record of 24-0, is having trouble getting cleared to fight in the US due to an old brain injury. In 2004, during an pre-fight examination in New York, the fighter was unable to get a license due to this brain injury. To date, the only US jurisdiction which has licensed Valero is TX.
