Congressional Staffer Sustains Serious Head Injury

A staffer for Representative Danny Rehberg sustained a serious head injury in a boat accident Thursday night that also injured a congressman, another staffer and a state senator and his wife. The 27-year-old staffer has a head and brain injury and is being monitored for pressure on the brain. He has a significant head injury but it’s being termed as survivable. The accident occurred when the boat they were riding in crashed into the shore rocks. He has a mild closed head injury which means a small fracture around his right eye orbit. The staffer had a blood-alcohol content of .05 when he was operating the boat. Boating accidents can oftentimes result in brain injury. To read more about the head injury, please click the link.
